The FAIB is very pleased to invite you to the next lunch-debate,  Tuesday 24 september 2024

Going beyond the scope of e-invoicing:
How will it impact your NPO's VAT liabilities?

On 1 January 2026, Belgium will introduce mandatory B2B e-invoicing for domestic B2B transactions. The implementation of this mandatory B2B e-invoicing will lead to more transparency towards the Belgian tax authorities. Accordingly, all transactions performed by your non-profit organisation (“NPO”) will be much more, and much faster, visible. It will therefore be key to have a clear view on the VAT status of your NPO and to verify the VAT treatment and consequences of each (new) activity that is carried out.

During this lunch debate, we will discuss some attention points of the Belgian VAT authorities focusing on NPOs, how you can prepare yourself in light of this new legislation and how the governance aspects of your NPO can be finetuned accordingly.
